J. Timothy Sherman, CPA
Firm Responsibilities
Mr. Sherman is the Managing Partner of Cohen Greve & Co
CPA.
He manages the daily operations of the Firm and is charged
with making sure the Firm is on the cutting edge of technology
to ensure client service.
Relevant Experience
Mr. Sherman has almost forty years of professional accounting
experience and has wide array industries in his knowledgebase.
This experience has enabled him to give a unique perspective
in family business issues. Manufacturing, distribution
and forensic accounting are his specialties.
He has vast knowledge in Garment Center accounting along
with long term relationships in banking and factoring.
Professional Activities
Mr. Sherman is a member of the American Institute of
Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society
of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. Sherman has been an active member in his community.
He has served as president of the town’s Board of Education
and served for nine years. He was the founding director
of the local PAL lacrosse program. He currently serves
as the treasurer for the Freeport Tuna Club which is
the oldest and largest fishing club in New York State.
Education
Mr. Sherman graduated Hofstra University with a BBS in
accounting and attended New York University’s Graduated
School of Business Finance program.
